It's too bad this is only coming out on the DS. I'm sure there is a fanbase out there beyond just the DS that would like to play this game. I mean, it could also be released on the PSN or Xbox Live, and the PSP as well. Up the graphics a bit, HD resolutions, widescreen, would be very nice.
I've never liked remakes of classic games of this magnitude only coming out on a handheld device. It's almost like a downgrade in a way. Just like the remake of Mega Man X only coming out on ...
This looks like it is shaping up to be a nice game. It's great to see developers not only working to remake older, classic games but also to start creating some new, original content in vain of the older style games of yesterday. Good show THQ.
Also, for current owners, if they released a reasonably priced package that included the complete controller and required peripherals AND a new game that would be really popular AND would be catering specifically to the more casual/younger crowd that already own a 360, it might even get greater market penetration as well. Imagine if they made the new Banjo-Kazooie game or something like it compatible with it. Microsoft really needs to work on creating more original IPs and franchises and gett...
Oh hell yeah that would be nice, problem is it would be priced out of the range of an impulse buy that a casual gamer would go for. Definately a good idea for a new version of the Elite SKU, but probably to pricey for the casual gamer.
Bigger HDD (160-200 gigs should be affordable now, I've seen 2.5 inch SATA drives at 5400RPM, just like the standard PS3/360 drives, in the 250 gig range go for ~105-110 at retail/online, so even that isn't too bad now to include without the mark...
Oh come on, be nice now. PS3's are great, Xbox 360's are great, who cares which one you bought. Believe me, it's not the line you want to use to pick up a chick with.
"Hey baby, I'm a Sony guy. I got a PS3 back at my place, wanna head over there". Yeah, not gonna work. Same with the 360.
Break away style controller would be the best bet if they went this way. Dual purpose functionality, completely wireless with no cords (maybe?), could work. But they need to remarket the arcade version and come out with the games to do it. And really push the casual online gaming for it, give it something the Wii doesn't have. Market it with the camera addon so you can see your opponents/partners (possibly family and friends), and make it easy to add relatives and stuff to your live account, ...
Hell now that is funny. Not only did the thief get beaten up for stealing the PS3 and assorted items, he got beaten up by a girl (boxer or not, that fact always makes a beating funnier), and she made him go and pick up all the stuff he dropped and made him wait for the cops to come and pick him up. Great job lady, maybe thieves will think twice before robbing someones house (or hit the gym more often, lol).
Well, at least it won't cost anything to get to these weapons if you don't want to pay for them. Buying the gold edition just gives you the easy way out and gives you them right away. But users of both versions still have to participate in 5 separate EA marketing surveys or what not to get at the other 5 weapons. What a load of hooey. Oh well, free is free, glad the microtransactions are gone. Hopefully, asides from games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, they will be gone for good.
Could be good. Microsoft could probably develop something slightly more sophisticated then the Wiimote if they want to that might be better suited to more hardcore games, but at the same time easy and intuitive enough for casual gamers to understand and use. The idea of a break away controller seems to be the best middleground here. Gives you all the functionality of the standard controller, breaks in half to give you the two motion controllers. They just have to make it comfortable enough to...
I think Microsoft should try and do this. It may attract a lot more casual gamers to the platform, which just may increase sales of the console, and attract more developers.
I was kind of peeved at what Nintendo did with the Wii. They essentially made a console that they could make easy profit off of due to the fact that it was being sold above cost from the beginning. Now, Nintendo has always done this, but since this was essentially a slightly upgraded Gamecube, and those wer...
Microsoft couldn't afford to sell the old xbox to compete with the Wii, and there is a good reason for it. The original Xbox was made from, more or less, off the shelf parts supplied from other companies. The most important of the two were the CPU and the GPU. Microsoft does not own the design of either of these chips, that falls on Intel and Nvidia, respectfully. So, when it comes time to do cost reduction redesign on the chips, it was up to those companies discretion, or whatever was stated...
I'm assuming it would be a card from the HD 3850 series. The best AGP cards I can think of other then that are as follows
x850 XT and XT Platinum (old, shader model 2.0 only)
x1950 GT
x1950 PRO (256 and 512 mb versions)
x1950 XT (gecube only, 256 mb ram, rare)
7900 GS by gainword (full 7900 GPU core, uncrippled, best one but only 1500 made, so good luck getting one)
maybe some 7800s from NVIDIA.
Lots of other AGP cards available...
Kakkoii, yeah your PC seems to be pretty close to what mine started out with. Those old single core P4s just don't have the power anymore to run the newest games at the best frame rates. Even a bottom of the barrel Core 2 Duo (one of the e4000 series or so even, or even the new Pentium labelled Core series) could probably run circles around those old chips. Heck, I bet they beat out my 3.4Ghz Northwood no sweat.
When your hardware is at that stage, your probably better off just...
I've had my original 360 replaced once and the new unit I got (this was back in 06) runs just fine. I've never had any real problems with it, other then the DVD drive screwing up sometimes (works fine horizontally, so that is the way it stays).
Actually, if someone came out and made an actual case that could hold all of the hardware necessary for a liquid cooling job, I might consider it. But, by that time, I'm sure it would just be cheaper to go and buy a newer, and (hopefully...
Dude, where did you find that bad boy and who makes it? I would have definately shelled out for an XTX instead of the PRO I have. And I've looked, no reviews or nothing about this card.
I think I've heard of a GeCube XT version, but with only 256 megs of RAM, not 512 on it (my PRO has 512 megs on it). Also, the only other higher end card I can think of that is in the XT/XTX range was a 7800 Geforce made by a european company. It was called a 7800 but it had a 7900 GPU in it, an...
Actually, besides this new AGP card, there has been a fair bit of support from some motherboard manufacturers (AsRock is one that I know of) that have been releasing new motherboards that let you keep much of your older parts. For instance, they had some newer motherboards that let you keep your old DDR ram and AGP card, but let you put in a newer Core 2 Duo CPU. And a few years ago, they had boards that let you keep your socket 478 CPU, but let you add PCI-E cards now and DDR-2 (I think, mig...
Or they still have a top of the line (or near to it) AGP system. I'm sure that fraction, however, is in the minority.
The only real problem with PC still running AGP is that the rest of their hardware is probably really starting to become old and archaic by today's standards. Even top of the line systems running AGP aren't exactly the greatest PC's anymore. More then likely, many AGP systems will bottleneck a new graphics card like this 3850, making the upgrade less worthwhile.
I know, I tried upgrading my PC to pcie awhile ago, but I couldn't find a motherboard, at the time, that would take a...
Microsoft's drive really actually isn't proprietary. It's a standard 2.5 inch 20 (or 120) gig SATA laptop drive in a proprietary case and connector combination. I have heard of people attempting to open it up and install their own version, but you can't take advantge of more then 120 gigs out of them. Something about flashing a disk image of the regular 120 gig drive onto it, not quite sure.
Yeah, we probably won't be seeing 3.5 inch drives on consoles anytime soon (as standard...
I probably attempted doing that achievement upwards of over 60-100 attempts (it all got a little blurry and fuzzy there for awhile) before I managed to do it. And I made it up to the end twice before I managed to beat it. You really have to watch were you shoot, lol. Damn, it was hard but it was intense too.
